Nashik: Tribal-dominated Nandurbar district emerged as the top performer in the Nashik division by recording a 94.66% pass percentage in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) results declared on Saturday.The Nashik division registered an overall pass percentage of 90.7, ranking fourth in the state after Konkan (94.14%), Pune (91.25%) and Amravati (90.92%). However, the division’s performance marked the lowest pass percentage in the past four years, continuing a downward trend from 94.71% in 2024 and 91.31% in 2025.Out of 1,61,812 students who appeared for the HSC examinations across the division, 1,46,799 cleared the exams in various streams.After Nandurbar, Nashik district stood second with a 93.44% pass rate, followed by Dhule at 89.67% and Jalgaon at 85.08%. In Nashik district alone, 76,748 students appeared for the exam. The pass percentage among girls was significantly higher at 95.8%, compared to 91.3% among boys.Within Nashik district, Trimbakeshwar and Yeola talukas recorded the highest pass percentage at 97.6% each. The pass percentage within Nashik Municipal Corporation limits stood at 93.4%, while Malegaon Municipal Corporation recorded 92.42%.
